“…one of the most inspiring projects in the country today.”

Fraser Nelson, the Spectator Blog

Civitas runs an outstanding network of after-school and Saturday schools across the country. The classes focus on intense academic work using traditional teaching methods.

We help primary school children to reach their full academic potential by concentrating on reading fluently, spelling accurately, practising times-tables and basic mathematical functions in small classes.

Our focus is to provide low cost English and maths lessons to children who require extra educational support but do not have access to expensive private tuition. Aspirations are raised and confidence boosted as children diligently attend weekly two or three hour classes. We only see the children for a few hours each week, but the progress they make is remarkable.

Civitas Schools are located in the heart of communities - in church halls, schools and community centres. From dedicated teachers to excellent textbooks, and small class sizes to conveniently located centres, children thrive in the Civitas Schools environment.
